IT Security

I just watched Michael Bodner clip from michiganinnovators site on IT security. The project 'Quantum Medical Informatics' is a wonderful idea and on completion has great chances to be successful. It has huge applications and is a tool that is definitely going to make the lives of both doctors and patients easy.

Not only duplicate testing will be eliminated but also the activities of every doctor can be recorded and access by other doctors. This way chances of false reports, lab errors will be definitely diminished. The only tricky situation here is about Health care privacy issues as this service might have a huge information database and thus a huge responsibility too.

So, why is it a wonderful idea? Why might it be successful? Relate this to what you have learned in class.
