I think this little article by Tim Stevens is very much true because I found people just cant live without internet especially in US, right from searching, entertainment internet is used by people for even shopping which is not in case of other countries atleast India .Internet which is source for communication among people consumes most of the electricity which is around 9.4% and also as we know the servers for hosting web pages are also huge and consumes lot of electricity which is very disadvantageous due to which no greenery is found in U.S which should be increased as much as possible.

I think the solution for this problem is given by Yan Ness where he explains about Greening Data Centers in Michigan. To avoid this the data centers can be placed along the North Coast such as Greta Lakes, providing them with underground storage reservoirs. Water would be pumped in to the reservoirs and cooled at night when energy is cheap underground storage reservoirs. He also says that data centers can be builded into the ground which will aslo solve the problem because the ground temperature is constantly cool compared to upper temperature.
