Smart Desktop by Pi Corporation

Pi Corporation, based in Seattle, is working on a product called Smart Desktop. Jon Herlocker, vice president of of engineering Pi Corporation, describes Smart Desktop as a program that is designed to group information by project. It unifies the information into a single view, so all the various files (from Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, FireFox, Excel, etc) will be displayed accordingly. Smart Desktop works with Microsoft applications, Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs and Zoho Sheets. There are some other companies working on products of this type and Microsoft is one of them. Microsoft develops a product called Center for Information Work.
