Yankees Who?

|

As many of you probably have already heard, the Tigers just finalized a monster of a deal with the Florida Marlins, bringing Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis to the Detroit Tigers for prospects Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, and 4 other players. Many are claiming this is the biggest move the Tigers have made ever... regardless of what you may think of it, theres no question the Tigers have become the powerhouse of the MLB, and easily possess the best lineup in all of baseball.

I personally love this deal. Its too bad Maybin and Miller wont be able to develop into great players in Detroit (assuming they will), but its pretty obvious that the Tigers are going for the gold now, and dont want to waste time developing prospects. And besides, its not like Cabrera and Willis are old players... they are 24 and 25 years old, with extremely bright futures ahead of them. Many already are claiming Cabrera is a lock for the Hall of Fame if he keeps up at the pace hes going.

This may prove to be the longest off-season ever... I cant wait!
