Linux on the rise?

|

Ubuntu Linux has taken the computer world by storm and is easily the most popular distribution to date. Microsoft Vista is on the brink of failure - service pack one can't come soon enough. The problem with vista is that there are just far too many little bugs that a user doesn't want to pay top dollar for. Furthermore, it is a hog in terms of power. To run Vista you really need at least 2gb of ram and a mid-top of the line processor. So what do you do when you buy a laptop you just want to use for business purposes? A great solution is Ubuntu Linux.

Say you are running a small business and you don't need a lot of computing power, but you need a lot of computers. You can go out and spend $500 per computer and install Ubuntu and it's productivity software for free. If you are buying 100 computers this is going to save you lots of cash money. There is a great article about it here.
