Al McWilliams: Not a Magazine

|

In this article Al McWilliams discusses how they market their material as a book, even though it looks like a Magazine. By simply putting it together with a certain type of binding and an ISBN it can be classified as a book.

The advantage of having their product sold as a book is it increases the shelf life. Magazines typically have a shelf life of 60 days and books tend to stay on the shelf much longer.

I was also amazed to learn how much retailers mark up books and magazines. Its a wonder that there is enough incentive for people to keep publishing material.
