AJAX in the Job Market

I have to agree that as much as I am process and result driven, a large part of me is financially driven. As soon as I learn about a new technology or gain knowledge in a new discipline of IT, I like to chalk it up on my resume to create a diverse portfolio that could create demand and result in high financial compensations (hopefully). Anyway, I thought I'd research the job market and see what the AJAX knowledge may bring to the bank account. Here are the finding:

(The study shows number of jobs in the US and average income - not necessarily a random sample - remember statistics?)

Monster: 2,634 opportunities
Dice: 3,308 opportunities
CareerBuilder: 1,363 opportunities

The pay rate ranged from $45,000 to $120,000 based on experience and location. The $45K figure came from Iowa for an Entry Level position.

Most of the positions required PHP/Action Script knowledge.
