GLOBAL IT CLUB - AN INVESTMENT IN FUTURE SUCCESS

One of the most worthwhile things I have been involved in this semester is the Global IT Club. Early this semester, I attended the Algorithmic Advertising and You event, hosted by the Global IT Club, and became very interested in participating in more of the club's activities. Dr. Gibson, the club's faculty adviser, has developed connections with several local companies who employ people working in the IT field. The Global IT Club has been responsible for getting these companies to come and speak to our students or allow students to take field trips and see some of these companies in person. By being an officer of the club, I have had the opportunity to network with many of these IT business professionals and develop connections with them that will hopefully turn into future employment opportunities. My involvement with the Global IT Club has also given me experience in planning, and implementing events. This experience will be a great attribute to add to my resume.
