Ajax stands for asynchronous java script and XML. Ajax gives a developer the ability to create a web page that behaves like a thick clint application however it requires an understanding of the java script language. but not alla browsers handel java script in the same way and many users disable java script in their browser thease both are drawbacks of Ajax when compared to other frame works. to getr some more developments on Ajax look into this site.
